Opening of Carolyns Way

The lane located between Bellevue Terrace and Treowen Road was named in memory of the late Councillor Carolyn Fortune.

Councillor Fortune fought hard over a number of years to for upgrades to be undertaken on this path in order for the path to be useable for all members of the community. The path is a very popular link between the Pennar and Bufferland area, the lane is also used by a large number of parents who use it for the school run.

Following the official opening of the lane which was opened by the Mayor Councillor Maureen Colgan, there were refreshments served in Pennar Community Hall.
