The Friends of Pembroke Dock Memorial Park

Friends of Pembroke Dock Memorial Park are a group which has formed to regenerate play equipment.They have been successful wiht the recent creation of the BMX track, and are hoping to have a skate park and further play equipment for the younger children of the community.

The group are currently looking at funding sources to ensure the proposals go ahead.

The objects of the group are as follows

The charitys objects are to improve the Pembroke Dock Memorial Park for the benefit of residents, visitors and wildlife and to encourage and facilitate greater use and environment of the park by all.

In pursuance of this aim the association will seek in conjunction with the County Council as owners of the park and Pembroke Dock Town Council as leaseholders to

• Ensure that any changes are sustainable and respect the parks heritage and distinctiveness
• Represent the views of the residents of Pembroke Dock in matters concerning the park
• Form links and work co-operatively with Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembroke Dock Town Council who have ownership and responsibility for the park as well as businesses, Community groups, charities, schools and other appropriate organisations including groups who already have facilities within the park as such as the Pembroke Dock Bowling Club.
• Organise, host and fund events and activities within or assocaited.
• Complement other projects which are taking place within the Town area.

The association shall be non- party in politics and non- secretarian in religion and shall operate without distinction of gender, ethnic background, age, disability, sexuality, or religious, cultural or political beliefs.
